Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and educate patients/families.
• Evaluation of care: participate in interdisciplinary evaluation and adjust care.
• Implementation: provide care to patients with complex problems and perform bedside testing as needed.
• Leadership: set goals, participate in unit goals and promote cost-effective care.
• Patient assessment: synthesize data and plan discharge needs.
• Planning: collaborate with family and resources to plan care.
• Research: read journals and bring ideas to the staff for assessment.
