Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Security Guard (Class D License) for the night shift to protect patients, staff, and visitors and to secure the hospital premises. You will join a dedicated security team and respond to incidents as needed.

Candidates should have a Class D Security License, at least 1 year of security experience in an acute care setting, and the ability to handle stressful situations; training in safety procedures, BLS and CPI within 90 days of hire is

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
