Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer (Class D License) to maintain the safety and security of the hospital during the evening shift. You will patrol the premises, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of security experience in an acute care setting, and certifications within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
