Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a part-time Security Guard to maintain the safety and security of the hospital, with a Weekend Night schedule (7pm–7am).

The role requires a Class D Security License and completion of IAHSS safety procedures within 90 days, plus BLS and CPI within 90 days. Prior security experience in an acute care setting is preferred, and strong communication with staff, patients, and visitors is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
