Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time evening shift (3pm–11pm) to maintain the safety and security of the hospital, staff, patients, and visitors. A Class D Security License is required, with 1 year of acute care security experience preferred.

The position offers opportunities for professional development and a comprehensive benefits package through UHS. Training in IAHSS procedures, BLS, and CPI is expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year security experience in an acute care setting recommended.
• IAHSS Safety and Security Procedures certification within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Secure the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provide support to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepare and submit reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and service-excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
