Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, LLC is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the Sanitors, ensuring compliance with Sara Lee standards and regulatory requirements. The role supports SQF, HACCP/HARPC, SSOP, and other quality programs across the bakery.

The position involves coordinating with Production and other departments, maintaining chemical inventories, scheduling sanitation tasks, and driving improvements to meet aggressive performance targets while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sanitation/Environmental Studies or related field preferred with 1-3 years manufacturing/management experience OR equivalent combination

Responsibilities

• Supervise sanitation department hourly employees, providing direction and coaching on sanitation, production, safety, food safety and quality assurance.
• Coordinate sanitation duties with the Sanitation Manager and other Supervisors.
• Maintain chemical inventory control system.
• Perform weekly inventories of sanitation chemicals and non-chemical supplies.
• Ensure effective cleanliness of equipment and facilities in all production areas.
• Schedule workflow for plant sanitation functions on each shift.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with Production, Receiving, Maintenance, B&R, QA and other departments.
• Maintain repair schedules on all sanitation equipment (foamers, scissor lifts, etc.).
• Facilitate and lead team meetings.
• Champion new initiatives to meet/exceed performance targets.
• Promote a positive working environment and strong employee relations.
• Establish a safe work environment; recognize potential hazards.
• Comply with GMP and environmental safety guidelines.
• Coach through demonstration and feedback to team members.
• Drive accountability and discipline within the team.
• Maintain a daily presence to support the team.
• A designee will cover for absences as appointed by management.
