Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee Sanitors and ensure compliance with Sara Lee and regulatory standards. You will support SQF, HACCP/HARPC, and SSOP programs while coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams across the bakery.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with FDA/USDA guidelines. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to maintain a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Must have 3-5 years supervisory experience in an industrial setting, preferably in food plant sanitation.
• Familiarity with regulatory (Federal and State) requirements of food plant sanitation.
• Knowledge of SSOPs and GMPs.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with FDA and/or USDA rules and regulations.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sanitation department hourly employees and provide direction on sanitation, production, safety, and quality.
• Coordinate duties with Sanitation Manager and other supervisors.
• Maintain inventory control for chemicals and non-chemical supplies.
• Schedule workflow for plant sanitation across shifts.
• Maintain relationships with Production, Receiving, Maintenance, QA and other departments.
• Lead team meetings and drive initiatives to meet targets.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure GMP compliance.
