Job summary

Campbell's in Hanover, PA is seeking a Salty Processing Operator to safely and efficiently run processing equipment, maintain product quality, and support a continuous line flow. You will read batch sheets, monitor temperatures and material weights, and adjust variables as needed to meet QA standards.

This role involves frequent manual handling, possible overtime, and collaboration with maintenance, QA, packaging, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate manufacturing and food processing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and food safety.
• Ability to follow batch sheets, recipes, production schedules, and operational procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform equipment setups, changeovers, and minor maintenance activities.
• Ability to accurately complete production logs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing equipment to produce products within QA standards and production specs.
• Properly mix ingredients and monitor temperature, moisture, and product consistency, making adjustments as needed.
• Monitor product flow and remove out-of-specification product.
• Operate, shut down, clean, and perform changeovers on processing equipment per procedures.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and minor equipment adjustments.
• Read batch sheets and follow production instructions accurately.
• Monitor temperatures, times, and material weights; adjust processes as needed.
• Elevate any potential foreign material contamination.
• Follow sanitation procedures for equipment cleanups and chemical handling.
• Maintain inventory and communicate needs to production leadership.
