Job summary

Mercy South is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory care services, following physician orders. This role includes consultation with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource for the care team.

All RTs will train on and rotate through the NICU, with a Full Time schedule of 36 hours per week during night shifts and a $20,000 bonus for RRTs. ACLS/PALS are preferred for ER and critical care exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC; PALS for ER is required.
• Physical demands include pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs, kneeling, crouching, crawling.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Train and rotate to NICU assignments as required.
