Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center seeks Full-Time Respiratory Therapist to provide expert respiratory care on night shifts (6:00 pm - 6:30 am, 36 hrs/week).

The role includes ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and patient assessments, with a 18% night differential and a $3/hour weekend differential. A hire-on incentive up to $10,000 is available during interview.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required.
• NBRC RRT certification required for new hires after Oct 1, 2015.
• Current license in state practice as required by state law.
• In NV, Blood Gas Technologist certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians.
• Operates and adjusts mechanical ventilators in collaboration with clinicians.
• Maintains and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment and circuitry.
• Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed.
• Assesses patients and documents therapy; communicates changes to the care team.
• May supervise department staff and assist across multiple hospital areas.
