Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (7p-7a) at Kalamazoo. The role involves delivering prescribed cardiopulmonary therapies, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating with physicians and nurses to adjust treatment plans.

A strong emphasis is placed on patient safety, documentation, and teamwork with the Respiratory Care department. Requirements include an AS in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred), Michigan RT license,

Qualifications

• AS in Respiratory Therapy or higher is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist license is required.
• RRT credentials required within 1 year for those hired after 2004.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy per physician orders and document findings.
• Communicate patient status and therapy results to providers and nursing staff.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in Code Blue with BLS/ACLS/NRP as required.
• Maintain artificial airways and monitor patient responses to therapy.
