Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring Registered Respiratory Therapists for ACC/PICU or Children’s units, nights 7p-7a. Full-time 72 hours per pay period with shift differentials.

Under general supervision, you will administer respiratory care per provider prescriptions, and serve as a resource of knowledge to staff and providers. The role supports patient outcomes and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required, bachelor’s preferred.
• Current Michigan RT license; RRT credential within 1 year of hire.
• Must maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP per site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders in hospital settings.
• Operate and manage respiratory therapy equipment according to protocols.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain safety and quality standards as part of Bronson team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in Code/Code Blue events when needed.

Skills

Night shift experience

BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications

Michigan RT license

RRT credential within 1 year

Patient care in acute care

Education

Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
