Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts (72 hrs/pay) who will provide care across units including ED, PACU and critical care, following competency assessment.

The role requires NBRC RRT, Michigan license or eligibility, and entails ventilator management, diagnostic testing, patient education, and participation in codes and team leadership. A $27,000 sign-on bonus is offered as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RRT through NBRC is required.
• CRT registry-eligible entry allowed; RRT must be obtained within 4 months.
• Current Michigan license or eligibility to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including ventilator management and emergency response.
• Assess respiratory status and develop care plans using approved protocols.
• Support pulmonary rehabilitation and coordinate home equipment evaluations.
• Conduct pulmonary function and diagnostic testing (spirometry, volumes, diffusion).
• Assist with cardiac diagnostics and lead teams during Code Triage events.
