Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care for adult and pediatric patients in a hospital setting in northern Michigan. The role includes ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and coordination of care with the pulmonary team.

Schedule features nights 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend. Michigan license or eligibility required; NBRC RRT certification is mandatory within 4 months of entry.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required by NBRC.
• CRT eligibility allowed entry; RRT must be obtained within 4 months to remain in RRT classification.
• Current Michigan license or eligibility to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including therapies and ventilator management.
• Assess status and develop individualized care plans with documentation and orders verification.
• Supervise pulmonary rehabilitation, patient education, and equipment evaluations.
• Perform pulmonary function and diagnostic testing (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion, exercise testing).
• Assist with ECGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring; support orientation and act as team lead during Code Triage events.
