Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc is hiring a Rolling Mill Machine Operator in Wheeling, IL. The role involves safely operating the Rolling Mill with a teammate, following metallurgical guidelines, and helping maintain the production schedule. Training shifts may apply; on-site work with a third shift schedule.

Responsibilities include changeovers, quality checks, material handling, and proper identification of coils. The position emphasizes safety, 5S practices, and teamwork to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial skilled machine experience.
• Ability to work with calipers, micrometers, and other testing equipment.
• Must learn and safely operate an overhead crane, forklift, and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating the Rolling Mill equipment and performing coil changeovers.
• Monitor material quality, gauge, and surface finish; assist with PMs and scheduling.
• Load/unload coils and set up equipment for production.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; follow safety procedures.
