Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator for our Wheeling, IL facility. The role focuses on setting up and operating Fin Tube milling machines, inspecting material, and maintaining safety standards to ensure quality products.

You will work on second shift with defined hours and participate in continuous improvement efforts. The position requires strong attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot, and a background in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Good written and communication skills.
• Ensure that work area is clean, organized and safe for all personnel.
• Report all incidents to supervisor.
• Suggest job related improvements and cost-saving ideas.
• Perform related duties as assigned to meet requirements of the position.
• Able to perform set-ups and quality trouble shooting as instructed to minimize impact to production flow.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the set-up and operation of Fin Tube machines to achieve milling operations per drawings.
• Inspect in-process material and report material not meeting criteria.
• Maintain a clean and safe work place with PPE and safety standards.
• Record quality data and inventory movements using the system.
