Job summary

A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Washington, D.C. to support DDOT projects. The role includes field inspection and documentation of construction activities ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience, ability to work independently, and knowledge of safety monitoring in active construction zones. A competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of construction inspection experience on roadway and/or bridge projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with field documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection and documentation of construction activities on DDOT infrastructure projects.
• Prepare daily Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs) documenting work performed, labor, equipment, and site conditions.
• Measure and record quantities of installed work on a daily basis.
