Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor for the Medical/Surgical unit. This full-time night-shift role leads a frontline team, ensures high reliability in patient care, and supports governance and service excellence across the unit.

The RN will mentor staff, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and act as a liaison for care coordination and patient transitions, while aligning with Inova's People Priority and patient experience goals.

Qualifications

• RN leadership experience preferred
• BSN or ADN with BSN completion within 1 year may be considered
• One year RN experience required

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations and ensure safe patient care
• Conduct shift huddles and communicate priorities
• Coordinate staffing and supply needs
• Monitor quality metrics and implement care improvements
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards
• Coach and mentor clinical staff and support teamwork
• Serve as a liaison with physicians and other departments
• Support discharge planning and patient flow
