Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a RN Unit Supervisor for the Overflow Unit. This Full Time, Night shift (7pm–7am) role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The unit handles diverse med/surg/telemetry cases, with a strong focus on quality and patient experience.

As a front line leader, you will champion evidence-based nursing practice, support shared governance, and mentor team members to uphold Inova's care delivery model. Virginia RN licensure and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year RN clinical experience.
• BSN required; or ADN with BSN completion within 1 year.
• BLS certification required by AHA; RN Unit Supervisor workshop within 90 days.
• Virginia RN Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct high-quality shift huddles; communicate priorities and gaps.
• Ensure safety huddles; support environmental and safety rounding.
• Perform rounds to remove barriers and enhance staff engagement.
• Review core measures and KPIs; develop action plans for improvements.
• Participate in emergency drills and OR safety stand-downs.
• Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards; educate team.
