Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking an experienced RN for a temporary, full-time 13-week assignment in Huntsville, AL. The RN will assess patients, plan and delegate care, and evaluate outcomes, with accountability for care delivered during the shift.

Night shifts with rotating weekends and potential for renewal up to 26 weeks per year are offered. Internal candidates are ineligible; BHSL requires BLS and ACLS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 year experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Care strongly preferred, with flexibility to work in Med-Surg Units.
• For internal candidates, minimum of 1 year of service in current position.
• BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS required if applicable to specific unit.
• Current HH Health System affiliates employees including Madison Hospital are ineligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment.
• Plan and delegates care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate the patient's response to care and attainment of outcomes.
• Be accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
