Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for a temporary 13‑week assignment with full-time night shifts. The RN assesses patients, prioritizes needs, plans and delegates care, and evaluates responses to ensure outcomes are met. At least 2 years in Critical Care or Emergency Care is preferred; internal candidates require 1 year in current role.

BLS is required; ACLS may be needed depending on unit. The position offers a limited benefits plan and is eligible for overtime with shift

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care and/or Emergency Care strongly preferred; internal candidates may require 1 year of service.
• BLS required before orientation; ACLS if applicable to unit.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment.
• Plan and delegate care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and attainment of outcomes; ensure accountability for care delivered.
• Provide care coordination during assigned night shifts and shift transitions.
