Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Orthopedics unit on a full-time night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality med/surg care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, supporting enhanced surgical recovery and sepsis monitoring initiatives.

The role emphasizes patient education, safe medication administration, and advocacy for patients and families, aligning with our mission to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• RN license Texas or compact required
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree required
• 1 year experience required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up, translating medical terminology as needed.
