Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This role emphasizes collaboration with the care team and adherence to nursing standards to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

You will assess health status, develop care plans, teach patients, and coordinate with providers while upholding the hospital’s mission and values. Night shifts require flexible scheduling and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree acceptable to start; Bachelor’s required within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience within last 3 years.
• Ortho experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and needs via health data and teamwork.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Provide care within RN scope and in compliance with laws.
• Educate patients on health promotion and restoration.
• Care for multiple patients individually or by delegation.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Apply critical thinking to nursing data and literature.
