Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers in alignment with our standards and values.

The role emphasizes developing care plans, providing education, and supporting a strong patient experience through nursing assessments and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree okay to start, Bachelor’s degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years is required.
• Experience in Ortho is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine patients' health status and needs through data interpretation with the care team.
• Provide individualized nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and formulate care plans.
• Implement nursing care within RN scope and comply with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients on promotion and restoration of health.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
