Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Registered Nurse for its Surgical IMCU/3W Intermediate Care Unit. The 36-hour night schedule offers a dynamic role in a Magnet® recognized facility delivering evidence-based care to patients and families.

As an RN on the Critical Care unit, you will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. MA RN license and BLS are required; ACLS may be required in certain units.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in certain units

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects
