Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an experienced nurse leader for a progressive step-down unit. The role involves direct patient care, staff supervision, and assisting the manager with daily operations to optimize patient outcomes and throughput.

The position requires RN licensure in the appropriate state, a BSN, and at least two years of nursing experience, with BLS and potential certification within one year. Full-time evenings, 36 hours per week, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and obtain RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• BSN required; if not enrolled, must enroll within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• BLS certification required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with daily operations, including coordination of patient care and outcomes.
• Oversee staffing, patient flow, and throughput to ensure adequate coverage.
• Delegate care to appropriate healthcare workers in line with policies.
• Support regulatory compliance and quality improvement activities.
• Provide clinical supervision and performance feedback to staff.
