Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Night RN Resource Nurse for our Stepdown unit. You will provide advanced bedside care to high-acuity patients and support team members with complex cases while serving as a clinical resource on the night shift.

You'll perform thorough assessments, telemetry and cardiac monitoring, IV medication administration, and rapid response to changes. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, mentor newer staff, and help ensure safe staffing and smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with acute care experience, preferably in a stepdown unit.
• Experience performing thorough patient assessments and monitoring.
• Proficient in IV medications administration and rapid response.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced bedside care to high-acuity patients on the night shift.
• Perform telemetry and cardiac monitoring to detect changes in status.
• Administer IV medications and respond rapidly to clinical changes.
• Mentor newer staff and support safe staffing and patient flow.
