Corewell Health's 2 South Orthopedic and Progressive Care unit at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead shift-level operations, clinical excellence, and fiscal stewardship for a 41-bed unit.

The role requires a BSN, Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS, and strong clinical experience; supervision and program development responsibilities are central to this position, with on-call availability and occasional coverage of the hospital supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
Master's Degree nursing (MSN) Preferred.
Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through 1+ year of related clinical experience in area of specialty Required.
MI RN license Required.
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
AHA Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) 180 days Required.
Corewell Health Nurse Supervisors are REQUIRED to obtain their Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire into the role.

Responsibilities

Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service/unit of the hospital.
May be required to be available for on-call to support the nursing service/unit.
May fill-in for the hospital supervisor as needed.
Assist with clinical support, unit based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, performance improvement, performance correction, and coaching and mentoring.
