Job summary
Corewell Health is seeking experienced registered nurses for the 7 North Medical Surgical GI/GU unit at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The role emphasizes NASL-style nursing care with a focus on urology and post-operative GI/GU patients, including wound and drain management. Night shifts and a full-time schedule are available.
We offer a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. BLS, MI RN license, and timely degree progression are required.
Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing required.
- Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) required within 60 days.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the ANA and Michigan law.
- Demonstrate competency through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation.
- Uphold standards of professional performance including ethics, cultural congruence, communication, collaboration and leadership.
- Care for post-operative urology and abdominal/GI or GI/GU patients, and wound, ostomy, tube, and drain management on 7 North.
