Job summary

Lord Chamberlain Manor, part of Ryders Health Management, seeks an RN Supervisor to lead nursing on the Stratford unit. The role requires working 11:00P-7:00A with every other weekend, in a full-time 32-hour schedule.

Responsibilities include supervising nurses and CNAs, rounds, IV starts, admissions, documentation, and care-plans coordination. CT RN license and CPR/BLS required; English proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in CT.
• CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with residents, families, and care team.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing operations on the unit under the oversight of the DON.
• Supervise, delegate, and coordinate care provided by RNs, LPNs, CNAs.
• Perform rounds to assess residents’ status; monitor and evaluate condition.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed, including starting IVs and collecting specimens.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical status, changes, and orders.
• Communicate with families/POAs and attending physicians about updates.
• Oversee assessments (e.g., MDS) and ensure care plans and reports are timely.
