Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for Labor and Delivery to lead night shift operations and coordinate patient care in a high-acuity unit. The CNC will direct nursing care, collaborate with the management team, and model a commitment to exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

The role emphasizes admissions/discharges, quality assessment, staff development, and a patient-first culture.

Qualifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
STABLE must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse.
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
2+ Years Labor/Delivery Experience.
2+ Years Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit with management.
Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create a teamwork environment for better outcomes.
Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
Implements nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds to boost engagement.
Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff and actions to improve performance.
Assists with staff scheduling and labor utilization according to patient care needs.
Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
