Medical City Arlington seeks a Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery to lead, supervise and develop the nursing team on the unit. The role drives performance improvement, ensures age-appropriate care standards, and aligns with hospital policies and financial management for the unit.

The successful candidate will coordinate staffing, support staff development, and maintain 24-hour accountability while partnering with leaders to optimize patient outcomes and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Current TX RN license or RN Compact State License.
• BLS from approved HCA vendor.
• ACLS from approved HCA vendor within 6 months of employment.
• NRP within 6 months of employment.
• CPI NVCI or SAMA with 6 months of employment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and hires nursing staff.
• Schedules nursing staff.
• Advocates for nursing staff.
• Acts as clinical resource for the Nursing Unit.
• Evaluates staff performance.
• Manages discipline, counseling and staff development.
• Participates in financial management and budgeting for the unit.
• Plans staff meetings and coordinates in-services.
• Manages clinical activities on the unit with age-specific standards.
• Maintains 24-hour accountability for direction and supervision.
• Seeks opportunities to improve department processes.
