Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care in the Stepdown Unit. You will follow established policies and participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education while ensuring safety and high-quality care.

The role requires active nursing licensure in Kentucky, ADN/ Diploma with BSN planned within 5 years, and BLS certification within 45 days of employment. This is a full-time 0.9 FTE position in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates findings to the team.
• Acts as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care for well-coordinated delivery.
• Follows physician and nursing orders and ensures patient education.
