Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process for a 40-hour full-time schedule. The role emphasizes patient assessment, discharge planning and coordination within a collaborative care team.

Required MA RN licensure, with BLS mandatory and ACLS per unit. BSN preferred; experience in nursing practice and leadership is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS required for every RN unless ACLS is current; unit-specific certifications may apply.
• BSN degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for direct patient care from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per standard procedure.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegate tasks to team members per job descriptions and competencies.
