Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift coverage in a patient care setting. The role centers on using the nursing process to plan, deliver, and manage care from admission to discharge, tailored to the patient’s developmental needs and unit standards.

Candidates must hold Massachusetts RN licensure with current BLS, ACLS as applicable, and preferably a BSN. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies in a dynamic health system.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to deliver and manage patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency level.
