Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a 40-hour work week setting. The role requires adherence to nursing standards and the nursing process from admission to discharge, with a focus on patient-centered planning and care coordination.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing plans of care, supervising care teams, and ensuring safe delegation. Massachusetts licensure, BLS, and unit competencies are required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification current if applicable.
• Unit-specific certifications and competencies required.
• Experience in nursing; equivalent education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
