DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift (3:3) in Rehab Med Surg Ext Unit. You will deliver patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and positive outcomes.

The role requires a Texas RN license (BSN preferred), ACLS within 6 months, and flexibility for cross-training and potential charge nurse duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train to like areas and become charge nurse.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English – verbal and written and computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Performs nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Implements physician orders in a safe and accurate manner.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Maintains detailed and accurate nursing records.
• Participates in health counseling and patient education for families and significant others.
• Administers medications and therapies within the scope of nursing practice.
• Forms and modifies goal-oriented care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
