Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a registered nurse for the 2 W Progressive Care Unit on the night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am). The role requires completing 48 hours per bi-weekly pay period and delivering high-standard care in a monitored setting.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, maintaining patient safety and privacy, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License.
BLS Certification required.
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Minimum one year of medical/surgical or critical care nursing experience or related medical center experience.
Excellent customer service and strong communication skills, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Performs purposeful hourly rounding including Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions.
Applies the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge needs of patient/family.
Provides professional direct and indirect patient care in the progressive care setting.
