Job summary

McLaren Health Care's 8W Medical Surgical unit seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with the health care team, and uphold hospital policies and professional standards.

This full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) involves direct patient care, care planning, and family-centered approach on a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule, with weekends required. Experience preferred; ACLS for some units may be required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required for certain units.
• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
