Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse for Nights Full Time with 6:30/7:00 shifts and rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate care with the care team and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
