Job summary

Mercy Health is hiring a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down) at Lourdes Hospital. The role supports delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, collaborating with the care team, and building strong patient-centered plans.

Ideal candidates have a BSN (preferred but not required) and current RN licensure. ACLS/BLS credentials are valued, with ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Night shifts, 36 hours weekly, and various benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN applicant.
• BLS or ACLS - ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures.
