Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during the overnight shift from 7p to 7a. The RN will collaborate with medical providers, advocate for patients, and participate in nursing initiatives to elevate outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
