Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit.

You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians to provide pre- and post-operative nursing and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience. As part of the team, you will manage admissions, document care thoroughly, administer medications, and stay current on cardiac and med-surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Minimum of six months of clinical RN experience.
• Current RN license in Texas or Multi-State Compact; TX license within 60 days if on compact.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
