Job summary

Northwest Health - Porter Hospital is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit on night shifts. The role involves 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts from 7p to 7a, with opportunities for shift differential and competitive incentives.

The unit provides a fast-paced, step-down environment for cardiac and neuro patients. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, coordinating with physicians and staff, and ensuring thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure and basic life support (BCLS) required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred for specialty care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Document care, assessments, and patient education in the medical record.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving protocols as needed.
