Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) for The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. The Night shift provides high-quality nursing care, assesses patient status, and coordinates care across units to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The role requires a state RN license, 1 year RN experience (6 months in acute care preferred), BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS (ACLS within 6 months). Mercy Health offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• BLS; ACLS preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 6 months in acute care setting preferred.
• Must be able to work nights in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement and evaluate treatment
• Serve as point of contact for patients’ care coordination across hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedures
