Job summary

Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Preston Veterans Home. The RN will work night shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.), with duties including assessments, planning, and evaluation to deliver resident-centered care.

A portion of the schedule includes every other weekend, with opportunities for additional hours as needed. The role requires Minnesota RN licensure in good standing, BLS/CPR, and proficient use of electronic charting systems, such as

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in Minnesota, in good standing.
• If not licensed in MN, licensure must be obtainable by date of hire.
• NCLEX-RN eligibility for new grads is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resident-centered nursing care within RN scope.
• Perform assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Maintain accurate electronic charting and documentation.
