Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit in New Brunswick, NJ. This night shift, 36 hours per week position offers growth in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, APHON Chemotherapy certification, and at least 1 year of pediatric experience; BSN preferred and EPIC proficiency is desirable.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS, PALS, APHON Chemotherapy Certification required.
• Minimum 1 year pediatric nursing experience.
• Prior Pediatric Oncology experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families for ongoing care at home.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and handoffs.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and safety culture.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and clinical ladder opportunities.
