Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care on the night shift. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to promote positive outcomes for patients and families.

Responsibilities include administering medications, educating patients, coordinating with the team, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards. This is a full-time role with opportunities for growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required; BLS certification.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information and care outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and make adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and supervise care provided by healthcare team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
