Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a full-time Nights RN to deliver direct nursing care, supervise CNA staff, and coordinate resident admissions and discharges. This role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, 1+ year of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred), and familiarity with EHR systems. CPR/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift per policies.
• Monitor residents’ status and notify physician or responsible party of changes.
• Develop and review individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy and procedure.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges per procedures.
• Participate in QA activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys.
