Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Night Shift RN to coordinate patient care using the nursing process and the Parkland nursing professional practice model. The RN will assess patients, develop plans, and collaborate with the health care team to prevent delays and complications.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an RN license in good standing and current BLS certification. Prior acute care experience is preferred; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Two years of nursing experience required; acute care preferred.
Current RN license in good standing and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care delivery with health care team using nursing process.
Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate responses.
Delegate interventions per Texas Nursing Practice Act and staff competencies.
Serve as patient advocate and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
May precept others and rotate as Charge Nurse; participate in in-service education.
